Thank you to the over 700 + attendees at the 19th Annual Summit Against Racism! This was the largest attended Summit to date and we appreciate the time you spent with us on one of the warmest Summit days in history!
Here’s what some attendees had to say about the 19th Summit Against Racism:
“The summit is always a transformative experience. I especially loved crossing paths with the intersectionality march, and opportunities for conversations at meals. Overall, amazing community experience.”
“I come to this every year – to date, I feel this was truly one of the best.”
“I believe the presenters and information shared was extremely beneficial and encouraged action and promotion and next steps to advance society as a whole.”
To recap we are sharing photos that highlight some of the record-setting milestones you helped us create this year. View photos of the event captured by Germaine Williams
This was the first year we also hosted a Pre-Summit Event, a Pre-Summit Town Hall in Partnership with Union Project. Over 15 attendees enjoyed with over a dozen elected officials and invited guests. Here’s what folks had to say about the Pre-Summit:
“Very intimate and interesting. A good warm up with good connections.”
“It was wonderful to see so many community leaders there.”
“[The Pre-Summit] motivated me by allowing me to meet [local politicians and councillors and] put names and faces together.”
To celebrate our achievements, we invite you to join us for the Black and White Reunion’s Annual Summer BBQ at Schenley Park at the Overlook Pavillion on Saturday, July 20, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
